🥥 Dairy-free thanks to MALK coconut milk
Ingredients
For 1 pint:
1.5 cup MALK unsweetened oat milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (plant-based or grass-fed whey)
1–2 tsp grade A maple syrup or raw honey (adjust to taste)
½ tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder
⅛ tsp peppermint extract (or 2–3 fresh mint leaves for an ultra-clean version)
Pinch of sea salt
1 tbsp mini dark chocolate chips or chopped Hu Kitchen chocolate (added after spinning)
Directions
1. Blend the Base
In a blender, combine the oat milk, protein powder, maple syrup, matcha, peppermint extract (or mint leaves), and sea salt. Blend until completely smooth.
2. Freeze
Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container. Seal and freeze for at least 12–24 hours, or until completely solid.
3. Spin
After freezing, remove the pint and place it into your Ninja Creami. Spin using the Lite Ice Cream or Smoothie Bowl function.
4. Add Mix-Ins
Once spun, make a small well in the center and add the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips. Use the Mix-In function to fold in the chocolate.
5. Optional Re-Spin
If the texture is too crumbly after the first spin, add 1–2 tbsp of coconut milk and re-spin until creamy.
Tips for Creamy, Gut-Friendly Ice Cream
Boost gut health: Add ½ tsp of L-glutamine powder or a splash of aloe vera juice for digestive support without altering the taste.
Naturally sweeter: Add 1–2 small frozen banana chunks for extra sweetness and fiber (note: this may slightly change the green color).
Chocolate swap: Use a chopped dark chocolate bar with clean ingredients like Hu Kitchen or Lily’s for a refined sugar-free option.
